BRING CURIOSITY, HUMANITY, AND PASSION TO EVERY PROJECT AND EVERY PLATE.
Do Wild Things is home to interactive cooking and inspired dining experiences.
Do Wild Things creates space for people to slow down. To disconnect from our fast-paced lives, our digitally driven worlds and reconnect with what really matters. To nourish the soul and restore the spirit.
WOUTER KINGMA.  Wouter has spent a lifetime nurturing his love for curiosity, creativity and adventure. Living and working in both Hong Kong and Dubai for many years, his expat life has immersed himself with experiences the world over. Now based back ‘home’ in The Netherlands, his passion for connecting with others, combined with a love for open fires and the great outdoors, enables him to facilitate meaningful, inspired cooking experiences for diverse audiences.
Wouter loves good food and shared meals. In the late 90’s, he was cooking for big groups as an outdoor travel guide. Following Hotel School, he mastered true service with exceptional detail, when running the Arabic restaurant at the uber lux and iconic, Burj Al Arab in Dubai. The best of the best. Today, much of his menu design is influenced by his many years in the Middle East. With his uncomplicated cooking style, he lets the food do the talking with dishes that surprise and excite, using quality ingredients, strong flavours and rich textures.
Wouter has travelled extensively for work and for play. As a running junkie, he’s run ultras in the extremes of the Gobi Desert and Patagonia. As a photographer and storyteller, he’s documented multiple large-scale expeditions. As a creative, he’s captured visual content for many of the world’s leading brands. As a father and husband, he embarked on an epic family road trip, driving 17,000km’s from Dubai to Amsterdam. He is a true visionary, always striving to do more, experience more and be more, which feeds both himself and all those around him. Today, when he needs to clear his head, he heads straight to the mountains… a place to swap tarmac for trees, sirens for silence and chaos for calm.  He’s also laying the path up to become an International Mountain Leader, to share his love for the wilderness with other kindred spirits.
